Ryan Lane is American actor who plays Travis Barnes in Switched at Birth.
Personal Life
Ryan Lane was born November 23, 1987 in Fullerton California and is the youngest of three children born to Jill and Bill Lane who divorced when he was only 8 years old. He has two older sisters.
When Ryan was only 2 weeks old, he was diagnosed with congenital nerve deafness. Growing up in Los Angeles County, Ryan attended schools in the County School District and graduated from the California School for the Deaf Riverside (CSDR), Class of 2007.

You may not know the name right away, but if you’re a fan of Switched at Birth you will immediately recognize this week’s deafie!
Ryan Lane was born to a hearing family in California and graduated from the California School of the Deaf, Riverside. Lane got his start when director David Risotto saw his picture and knew he’d be the perfect fit for his documentary Dummy Hoy: A Deaf Hero. Lane’s physique and deafness allowed him to portray the legendary baseball player with ease. Lane also guest starred in several TV dramas including House M.D., Cold Case, and Miami Medical.
Arguably his most notable role is Travis from Switched At Birth, where he plays a deaf athletic high school lärling that has a hard time communicating at home. He eventually moves in with Emmett Blesdoe (Sean Berdy) and causes some romantic skådespel for a few different characters. Ryan Thomas Lane (born November 23, 1987) is an American actor. Beginning his professional career at the age of nineteen, Lane is best known for his portrayal of Cincinnati Reds center-fielder William Ellsworth Hoy in the Documentary Channel biography Dummy Hoy: A Deaf Hero, and for his recurring role as Travis on the ABC Family drama series Switched at Birth, which earned him the RJ Mitte Diversity Award at the 2013 Media Access Awards.
