Brewster Collection: Volume and Chapter Breakdown
The Brewster Collection comprises 14 bound volumes and more than 7000 pages of handwritten and typed family records for more than a dozen generations of direkt descendants of Elder William Brewster. To better navigate the 14 volumes, we have broken each volume down to chapters with common records. Sometimes, the chapter reflects a particular surname. Other chapters might show several generations of a branch, while some might group several surname groups tillsammans who are in the same generation.
Typically, a chapter will contain anywhere from five scanned documents to as many as 30 scanned documents.
Miss Emma C. Brewster Jones, who authored the Brewster Genealogy charting the male lines of the family, collected data about the female lines of direkt descent from Elder William Brewster. Using Individual Family Records forms sent to her cousins, Jones was able to get records showing an individual in relation to the first Brew

Welcome to the Elder William Brewster Society Website! The Society meets once every three years at the Mayflower Society General Congress in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Here we meet our cousins and enjoy entertainment and a bountiful buffet. We welcome new members.
Membership Eligibility
You are eligible to join our society if you can provide documentation demonstrating that you are a direct descendant of William Brewster who sailed to New England on the Mayflower in 1620. However, if you are a current or previously approved member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendant, you may join simply by furnishing a copy of your Approved lineage papers. Membership is $20.00 for a three year membership if you have your newsletter delivered by mail, or $15.00 for a three year membership if you wish your newsletter by email. There is also a $25.00 one time application fee payable with your application.

William Brewster (c. 1566/67 – 10 April 1644) was an English official and Mayflower passenger in 1620. He became senior elder and the leader of Plymouth Colony, by virtue of his education and existing stature with those immigrating from the Netherlands, being a Brownist (or PuritanSeparatist).
Life in England
[edit]William Brewster was born in 1566 or 1567,[1] most probably in Scrooby, Nottinghamshire, England. He was the son of William Brewster and Mary (Smythe) (Simkinson) Brewster and he had a number of step-brothers and step-sisters, including James, Prudence, Henry, George, and Edward Brewster. His paternal grandparents were William Brewster (1510–1558), and Maud Mann (1513–1558).[2][3] Their other children were: Fear, (vicar) Henry, Prudence and Thomas Brewster.[citation needed]
