Narrated Ibn Abbas:
When the profet sent Muadh to Yemen, he said to him, &#;You are going to a nation from the people of the Scripture, so let the first thing to which you will invite them, be the Tauhid of Allah. If they learn that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers to be offered in one day and one night. And if they pray, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Zakat of their properties and it fryst vatten to be taken from the rik among them and given to the poor. And if they agree to that, then take from them Zakat but avoid the best property of the people.&#;

Biography of Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan
Translator of The Noble Quran, Sahih Al-Bukhari, Al-lu'lu' wal Margan and many other books
Dr. Muhammad Muhsin s/o Muhi-ud-Din bin AhmedAI-EssaAI-Khoashki Al-Jamandi Al-Afghani, was born in the year Al-Hijri, in Qasur, a city of the Punjab Province, in Pakistan.
His grandfathers emigrated from Afghanistan escaping from the wars and ribalstrifes. Dr. Muhammad Muhsin belongs to the famous Afghanese tribe AlKhoashki Al-Jamandi. The residence place of his tribe was the valley of Afghastansouth east of the city of Kandhar (Afghanistan).
He had most of his education in that city, then he continued his education till he gained Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Punjab, Lahore. Then he worked in the University Hospital in Lahore, after that he traveled to England and stayed there for about four years, where he got the Diploma of Chest Diseases from the University of Wales. The Story Behind Dr Muhammad Muhsin Khan&#;s Translation
If you have read a copy of the Qur’an and accessed Sahih al-Bukhari in English, chances are that they were translated by him.
Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan, the renowned co-translator of the Qur’an and the first translator of Sahih Al-Bukhari into English passed away to the mercy of his Lord on Wednesday 14 July in Madinah, Saudi Arabia at the age of 97, may Allah have mercy upon him. His funeral prayer was prayed in Masjid an-Nabawi after Fajr on Thursday, 15 July, and he was buried in Al-Baqi’ cemetery.

Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan worked in the city of Taif in the Ministry of Health, in the newly formed Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the Director of El-Sadad Hospital for the Chest Diseases for fifteen years. From there he moved to Madinah, where he worked as Chief of the Department of Chest Diseases in the King’s Hospital, and later as the Director Clinics a
