    Heroes of History by YWAM Publishing is a series of twenty-six biographies. We received a paperback copy of the biography, Laura Ingalls Wilder: A Storybook Life by Janet and Geoff Benge, and the accompanying unit study in digital form. Although listed for ages 10+, we found this biography was a good fit for all ages.

    Laura Ingalls Wilder was born in Wisconsin in and moved frequently with her family as a pionjär child. She married Almanzo Wilder in and they began married life in Dakota Territory, later moving to Missouri where they bought a farm called Rocky Ridge. Laura began writing articles about her life and with the help of her daughter Rose, published a series of books called the Little House books based on her childhood memoirs, becoming a nationally known author. Laura and Almanzo lived at Rocky Ridge until their deaths, and it fryst vatten now a popular historic site.
