On May 12, 1907, a son was born to a humble railway guard in the sleepy village of Palitana, in the hinterland of Gujarat’s Kathiawad province. Little did its inhabitants know that he was chosen to be the messiah of India’s biggest creative arena — its film industry.Indeed, Vijay Bhatt, born Vrajlal Jagneshwar Bhatt, is remembered as one of the founding fathers of the Hindi film industry.
An engineering graduate from the prestigious Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), he worked at BEST (Bombay Electric Supply & Tramways Company Limited) before deciding to follow his passion for drama.
After scripting many successful Gujarati plays, he met yesteryears stalwart Ardeshir Irani, credited with India’s first talkie Alam Ara. Praveen Kumar was born on May 15, 2003, in the Uttar Pradesh village of Jewar in the Gautam Buddha Nagar district. His congenital condition damaged the connection between his hip and left leg. Despite these difficulties, Praveen completed his elementary and secondary schooling at a neighborhood school in Noida. At Motilal Nehru College in Delhi, he later pursued further education with the goal of obtaining a bachelor's in the arts.
Praveen Kumar's Outstanding Successes
At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, Praveen Kumar, a gifted Indian para high jumper, made headlines by winning a silver medal and setting a new Asian mark of 2.07 meters in the high jump competition. He made history by becoming the youngest Indian to win a medal at the Paralympics. This outstanding accomplishment was an important turning point in his career and propelled him to international fame.
