    Lisa Tickner is professor of art history at Middlesex University until September , when she moves to the Courtauld Institute at London University. In addition to numerous articles on the history and theory of art, she is the author of Dante Gabriel Rossetti (London, ), Modern Life and Modern Subjects: British Art in the Early Twentieth Century (New Haven, ), and The Spectacle of Women: Imagery of the Suffrage Campaign, – (London, ) and co-edited two series for Routledge. Her service to many panels and committees include the Arts and Humanities Research Board, the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis, and the British National Committee of CIHA. An article on the Kasmin Gallery will appear this summer in the Oxford Art Journal and a short book on the occupation of Hornsey College of Art and Art Education in the s is due for completion in October of While at t
