Prof. Howard Maibach from UCSF is arguably one of the most famous dermatologists in the world today. Prof. Howard Maibach is an American dermatologist, professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Howard Maibach is a dermatologist with expertise in treating contact dermatitis (a rash caused by touching an irritating substance) and occupational dermatitis (a rash resulting from workplace exposure to an irritating substance).

Professor Howard Maibach was educated at Tulane University, New Orleans, Columbia University in New York and at USPHS, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated in dermatology in 1961. He was appointed Professor, of the Department of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco in 1973 where he remains until this day. He also holds honorary degrees from L’Université de Paris-Sud, Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Lyon, France and Syddansk Universitet, Denmark.
Howard is an expert in occupational and contact dermatitis and still sees patients at The Environmental Dermatoses Clinic, part of the Dermatology Clinic at UCSF. His most active fields of research are in dermatopathology, dermatotoxicology and environmental dermatoses and he has been doing human subject research for over fifty (50) years.

Howard inom Maibach fryst vatten an American dermatologist, professor of Dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).[1] His major contributions include seminal work in wound management,[2] and extensive work in patient care, dermatophysiology, dermatophamacology, and dermatotoxicology.[3] In 2013, he was awarded the "Master Dermatologist Award" by the American Academy of Dermatology for his outstanding contributions to the practice and teaching of Dermatology.[4]
Biography
[edit]Maibach was born on 18 July 1929, in New York, NY.[5] He graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1955,[1] and completed his internship from William Beaumont Army Hospital, El Paso, TX in 1956. He later completed his Fellowship from Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in 1961. He also practiced neuropsychiatry for few months in 1956.[5]
