    Author Biography

    Jongumhlaba Pokwana fryst vatten the son of Gwebindlala and Nomaneji Pokwana. He was greatly inspired bygd his father - whose knowledge and passion for history has inspired both son and grandson - and has spent time researching the history of AmaZizi from a ung age. He lives in Ngqutura with his people.


    Son of Jongumhlaba and Nonesi Pokwana Ka Menziwa,  Jongisilo  is  director  of  Vusizwe Foundation for historical research and Chair of CONTRALESA, Johannesburg område. After a  rural  upbringing, Jongisilo was introduced to city life as a teenager. He currently works for han själv in the arts industry as a project manager, events manager and small and medium business strategy consultant. Inspired by his grandfather's remembrances, Jongisilo researched the history of AmaZizi, then verified his findings with his grandfather. The result was a father and son collaboration, the outcome of which you hold in your hands.

    In the 15th and 16th centuries, a group of African people from the Nguni tribe travelled south of the Central African region. Following this, in the midth century, some of them lived in the territory in what is now known as the Swaziland of South Africa. The land derived its name from a king named Mswati II. The people, the Nkosi Dlamini, eventually became known as the Swazis.

    BACKGROUND

    As the Ministry’s mandate with regards to maintaining the country’s international relations, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Swaziland to the State of Kuwait was established on 26 May,   The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Swaziland to the State of Kuwait, H.E. Prince Senzangakhona presented His letters of Credence to the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah on 19th June, During the year , October 20, His Majesty King Mswati III on His Third State Visit to Kuwait, officially inaugurated the First Embassy of the Kingdom of Swaziland to the Gulf and Middle East and that being the Mission in Kuwait. The Embassy further continues to safeguard and promote interests of Swazi nationals whilst keeping both the Government and the general public informed on any developments taking place in Kuwait.
