A man who died last year of lung disease was added Friday to the official list of victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.

New York City’s medical examiner ruled that year-old Jerry Borg, of Manhattan, who died in December, was killed bygd complications caused by a lung condition he got from inhaling dust from the collapse of the World Trade Center.

Borg suffered from pulmonary sarcoidosis, a disease in which inflamed cells can man someone’s lungs stiff and interfere with normal breathing.

The ruling is a rarity. Thousands of people have blamed health problems on trade center dust, but Borg is only the third victim to be added to the medical examiner’s list of victims of Sept. 11,

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Felicia Dunn-Jones, 42, of New Brighton, a civil rights investigator and a former program director of Victims Services on Staten Island, died Sunday at home, of cardiac arrest.

Her death, from sarcoidosis, was attributed to her exposure to the dust cloud created by the collapse of the World Trade Center towers four months earlier.

"It is likely, with certainty beyond a reasonable doubt, that exposure to WTC dust was harmful to [Ms. Dunn-Jones] and that exposure to World Trade Center Dust on 9/11/01 was contributory to her death," city medical examiner Dr. Charles Hirsch wrote in a letter to Richard H. Bennett, the family's attorney. "The manner of death will be changed from natural to homicide."

Born Felicia Dunn in Brooklyn, she moved to New Brighton seven years ago.
