Bertjan Pot was born in Nieuwleusen, the Netherlands in and graduated from Man and Identity at the Design Academy Eindhoven in He is a famous designer who is now living in Rotterdam. When designing he focuses on mainly the production process and materials. He makes great use of the computer with his work and believes that the way a product feels is just as important as the products appearance. He claims all his designs come from
experiments with both new and old materials. While focusing mainly on furniture, his designs boasts an arty edge that pleases not only the eye but holds great value in terms of usefulness.
These have been displayed in Pot's many group and solo exhibitions since His designs have landed him awards such as the Elle Deco award in for best in seating, the Dutch design prize in for interior design for one of his slim tables, which also picked up the IF gold award in the same year and the Woonbuers in in
